So on April 19 they will pay tribute to Gino Empry, publicist to the stars, with a dinner and performance to take place at their own dinner theatre club at 110 Sudbury St. Empry, former in-house promoter for the Imperial Room, the swank dinner-theatre venue inside the Royal York Hotel, has spent more than 30 years in show business. His roster of clients has included Eartha Kitt, Peggy Lee, Tony Bennett, Donald O'Connor, Glenda Jackson, Karen Kain and Roch Voisine. His annual Christmas parties at the Royal York attracted hundreds from all walks of Toronto society.
